Outside Sales Rep

Position Details:
We are currently seeking to hire a Tree Care and Landscape Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Tacoma Washington! You will be responsible for the direct sale and rental of new and used brush chipper, stump cutter, mini skid steer, walk-behind trencher and viberatory plow equipment to customers within the assigned territory. You should have prior success selling durable products to business owners and corporate decision makers in a competitive market. This is not a sit behind the desk or sell from a catalog sales position.

Accountabilities:
The position’s objective is to successfully grow sales, manage account activity, prospect for new business, quote, track and follow up on opportunities.

Develop, plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results/goals.

Track and manage sales opportunities across the assigned area - from initial inquiry through to order close.

Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing.

Develop a networking list of potential clients and consistently contact them through in-person calls, phone, text and email.

Territory management – assure proper coverage of all customers and industries within assigned geographic area and provide exceptional customer service.

Key account management – be responsible for all customers in the territory.

Be adept in dealing with Company owners, managers and field personnel.

Product Demonstrations – develop, schedule, conduct equipment demonstrations with customers CRM – input and maintain customer accounts, opportunities and activities in Pipeline Deals CRM software.

Ability to effectively work independently and remotely

Qualifications:
2 + years sales experience in the equipment/construction markets

Experience operating and/or demonstrating equipment preferred.

Mechanical aptitude

Compensation:

Service Technician - Tacoma, WA

The Job:
Vermeer Northwest is looking for an experienced equipment mechanic to join our Service team in Tacoma, WA. Our Service Technicians repair and maintain a wide variety of customer equipment. Many jobs require working with closed-loop and open loop hydraulic systems and Controller Area Network (CAN bus) electrical systems.

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience working on heavy equipment
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
•Strong desire to learn and grow professionallyBasic typing and computer skillsAbility manage time and complete jobs efficiently

The Job:
Vermeer Northwest is looking for a hard-working individual with some mechanical knowledge to learn about and work on Vermeer industrial equipment in a shop environment. This is individual work in a team atmosphere.
This role has a variety of responsibilities including quality checks on new equipment, assisting other technicians in the repair of customer equipment, cleaning and shop organization as well as ongoing training. Other duties may be assigned by Service Manager.

Qualifications:
• Strong desire to learn new skills and grow in mechanical ability
• Basic typing and computer skills
• Willingness to invest money into personal tools and a toolbox
